This bike was ruff to say the least. It was left outside for years without spark plugs, and was completely full of water. I basically purchased it for the few usable parts and the tittled frame.
This was the first bike I had ever worked on and didn't really think to document it with pictures, so i as of now there are very few pics of the beginning stages. will follow up with as much progress as possible.
After removing the engine i had to take the bike outside and scrub it down with degreaser and a bbq brush to remove the 1/2 inch layer of grease and grime that had build up on nearly every part of the bike
after a good cleaning and disassembly of the bike all of the unwanted tabs were cut and ground clean all pressed seams that were affected by cutting tabs were welded solid. the rear of the frame was also cut about 6 inches short in the back to properly fit the short cafe seat that I planned on using.
Batterie box was made from sheet metal and welded into the rear of the frame. Then whole frame was sand blasted and ready for paint
I had the cylinders bored out .50mm over with new pistons and rings. Engine was completely stripped down cases media blasted and painted with hi temp engine enamel. the side cases were also media blasted and then polished
Forks were completely rebuilt and polished
seats arrived for the 350 and Cb500 build from Airtech-streamlining
