Dexter's cb500

This is a 1973 cb500 cafe project that i am building for my friend Dexter. I purchased it with 1975 cb500 parts bike, so some of the pics below of the completed bike might be of either bike ( they pretty much looked the same)









Disasembly begins




Time to tear apart the engine



Cases split everything removed from inside. cases were then media blasted and painted with hi temp paint. cylinders bored over .25mm with new pistons and rings. and of course all new gaskets and oils seals






carbs completely taken apart, cleaned, and totally rebuilt, all new bolts used.... some before and after pics









all extra tabs cut from frame. battery box welded in, frame sand blasted and painted with "por-15 hardnose" chassis paint




forks rebuilt, polished, and painted

seat arrives, lots of painting and body work






Wheels completely rebuilt with new stainless spokes nipples and rims
